Jeanette Mangulis, owner and director of Center Stage Dance Studio, has been sharing her love of dance for over 25 years. Jeanette has had extensive training in all dance styles and continues with her dance education by continually taking classes and attending workshops and seminars. She is a nationally award winning teacher and choreographer, having won Best Choreography, Best Technique, and Best Overall Studio Awards. Her students have won many regional and national high score awards, title awards, and special awards. Many of Jeanette's students have gone on to study dance in college, some of them becoming dance educators themselves. Jeanette has two beautiful children who both dance at the studio. Jeanette is a graduate of St. Joseph's College in Patchogue.

Lauren O'Brien has been teaching dance at Center Stage Dance Studio for the past 10 years. Lauren grew up at CSDS, first as a student of Jeanette's, then progressing to a student teacher and then on to teaching her own classes. Lauren teaches all forms of dance to both our recreational students and competition teams, and is always in demand as her knowledge and teaching style is respected by both children and adults. Over the past years, Lauren's students have won a number of high point awards at various competitions. Lauren has a Bachelor's degree in childhood education and is continuing her studies to master the art of teaching. Lauren is happily married with two beautiful children.

Tara Vegessi came to Center Stage as a student at the age of 12. She quickly became a leader in her classes because of her hardwork and talent. As Tara continued with her studies her love for dance grew and she enrolled at the High School for Performing Arts in Syosset. Tara has won numerous regional and national awards. She has been awarded dance scholarships and was selected as a runner up to compete in Germany on Team USA. After Tara graduated she was welcomed to the CSDS staff. She teaches both recreational and competition level classes.

Christina Caravella is from Farmingdale, New York and grew up training at Center Stage Dance Studio since the age of three. Christina has trained in all styles of dance including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, ballet, and hip hop. Throughout her years as a competitive dancer, she has gained multiple awards, scholarships and has been recognized by other professional choreographers at The Beat Dance Convention Tour, the Pulse Tour, and Kids Artistic Revue Tour. Christina has recently performed at the Alvin Ailey Theater and has taken classes at Broadway Dance Center to better herself as an artistic dancer and teacher.  She has furthered her dancing career after graduating from Center Stage Dance Studio by dancing with Arrhythmia Dance Company, and by teaching and choreographing dances for multiple students across Long Island.  She has received several choreography awards and high scoring titles at competitions. She is continuously growing as a choreographer, teacher, and dancer because of her drive, passion and dedication. 


Lisa Buccino has been dancing since the age of two and is incredibly excited to be teaching at Center Stage. She is currently a dance major/business minor at Long Island University C.W. Post and a member of the Post Concert Dance Company. As a dance major she studies dance styles from ballet, tap and african to forms of Laban Movement. Lisa also has gotten the opportunity at Post to study and train with choreographers such as Karen Arceneaux, Khaleah London, Michael Leon Thomas and Desmond Richardson. She is looking forward to this exciting adventure as a teacher here at Center Stage and passing on her love and passion for dance to students of all ages.

Hali Bekofsky was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She was a competitive dancer from the ages of seven to seventeen and upon finishing high school attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she graduated in May 2010 with a BFA in Jazz Dance Performance. While attending UArts she received the Faculty Award for “Excellence in Dance”, was a founding member and soloist of the Xhale Dance Company and simultaneously received her certification in Nutrition for Optimal Health, Wellness and Sports through Stony Brook University. After graduation she was honored to have the opportunity to dance for a year in Israel under the MASA Apprentice Program with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and upon returning to New York she worked with companies such as DeMa Dance Company, Leon Contemporary Dance Company, Amalgamate Dance Company, BEings Dance Company and performed different project works at the 2013 APAP Festival, 2012 NYC REVERBdance, The 2012 Young Choreographers Festival and as a dancer for recording artist Ja’Shayla at Gap Stores. She is currently a member of Michael Susten and Company and performed in the premier of “Spring: Withstanding Winter and Bravely Surfacing, Reborn” as well as the premier of “Fall: Heeding the Warning and Building Shelter to Surrender." In the summer of 2013 she enrolled in the Vinyasa Teacher Training Program with Yoga to the People (a Yoga Alliance registered program) and became a 200hr certified Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. She is currently a dance teacher in the New York City areas, has taught at conventions such as Platinum Dance Experience and is an adjudicator at both the regional and national level with Talent on Parade and That’s Entertainment Performing Arts Competition. In addition, she is the Creator/Co-Owner of Mindful Practice Workshop: Conditioning and Wellness for the Competitive Dancer which was featured in the February 2015 edition of Dance Studio Life Magazine. Robin Donnelly has been teaching dance for 25+ years in many dance studios, schools and performing arts camps on LI. She has appeared in instructional dance videos, filmed commercials, modeled dancewear and coached HS Kicklines. She has choreographed and performed in dozen musicals on LI. She has been a member of numerous dance companies that perform theater and ballroom dance in theaters, resorts and venues. She is the proud mother of two beautiful girls.

Lauren Vegessi
has been dancing since the age of two. She came to Center Stage Dance Studio at the age of 9. Lauren was always eager to learn and grow as a dancer. Lauren was part of Center Stage Dance Studio Competition Team. She has won many regional and national awards. After Lauren graduated high school, she began her studies at St. Joseph's College. There she majored in Child Study and Speech Communications. Lauren was also an active member of the SJC Dance Team. She became the Head Captain of the team her senior year, and now serves as the Captain. Currently she is going for her masters in Infant/Toddler Early Childhood Special Education.  From being a student at CSDS to now being a teacher and receptionist, Lauren is excited to share her love of dance to all the students.
